I ordered online a dinner for pickup on the evening of 01/09. I went to the register and notified the cashier of the order. She told me she would get to me right away. Her register was the only one of the two opened. After waiting for a few customers (5 transactions) who were BEHIND me, I saw another cashier just standing around so I notified him of my online order, who gave me a look before telling the cashier to complete my order. She proceeded to ignore me as if I didn't exist and rang up another customer who dined in. Enough is enough. Luckily I didn't pay online so at least I could walk out. That was the worst pickup experience I've ever had. Their food might be good, but this kind of customer service is completely unacceptable. There are other restaurants in the area with equivalent/better food with much better customer service and manner. I have contacted their corporate customer service department about this incident. Apparently the restaurant manager didn't attempt to reach out to resolve this at all.

I'm a big fan of Boston Market and used to go to the one in Park Ridge often. We just moved to Melrose Park a month ago so I was very happy to see one of my favorite restaurants in our new neighborhood. My husband and I decided to stop in tonight for a homestyle meal which is hard to come by given that he works for a hotel and we live on site. We don't have a kitchen so we eat out a lot. Hence our choice to come here. Bad choice. First my husband noticed something that did not occur to me at all. None of the food handlers, except for the guys handling the chicken, turkey and beef had any gloves. Our sides were being plated with bare hands. How do I know all employees washed their hands? Second, the cook had no experience. We watched him slice the chicken and the turkey in such a way that everything fell apart in a chunked mess. Also my husband pointed out that the customer before me also had turkey and the cook too my portion of my plate with his hands, just picked it up and tossed it into the plate before mine. I got the fresher cut but still, unappealing. The stuffing that I love so much was dry and the gravy was tasteless. Finally my turkey and my husband's beef brisket were both cold and unappetizing. To end it all, the cornbread was cold, hard and dry. The one star is for service. Sadly we won't be returning here again.

This is the first time I have ever tried a Boston Market, and I was very impressed with this location. Just off North Ave, it's really easy to get to, and I definitely didn't mind the little bit of a drive it took me to get there from Elmhurst. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, around 9pm, by just about all the staff members, and not one of them wasn't smiling! I was then helped by a very nice lady, who got me loaded mash potatoes (my new favorite), green beans, turkey, and a side of mac & cheese. I then threw in a piece of apple pie, because how could you not? I took my order home and dug in. Everything was great, the green beans were a little old and mushy, but still decent. The potatoes were the best, filled with bacon and cheese. The turkey was fresh, you could pull it apart with your fork. I finished my meal with the apple pie (I threw it in the microwave and topped it with some ice cream) it was the perfect end to a great meal. I really enjoyed everything I got, and will have no problem going back and trying all the other menu items they have.

Ever since they had closed the Boston Market on Harlem Ave, I've been forever having a craving for it. Eventually I decide to drive by here and drop in. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by all the employees with smiles. My girlfriend and I order our dinners (I had sliced cinnamon apples for a side- my favorite!). One of the employees there even carried our plates to a table for us. I had ordered a chicken dinner with mashed potatoes, corn bread and sliced apples, while she had ordered the chicken dinner with red potatoes and mash. It tasted fresh, the chicken was delicious and the cornbread is out of this world. In the midst of our dinner, one of the employees asks us if we would like to take home some dinner, as they were having a special of buy 1 get 1. We took the brownie and peach cobbler. When we were done with our dinner, we got up and grabbed our trays, they had told us to lay it down and they would get it for us. I tried to tip, but they wouldn't let me. It was a great service and one of my all time favorite resturants! Pros: Delicious chicken friendly staff great prices Cons: None

I'm never going to love this place, but I have come around to accepting it. We came in this last weekend for lunch and I got the usual turkey market bowl with green beans and stuffing. For $7, I feel like there is not a lot of meat in there and it is mostly green beans, plus I had to pay $.49 for a small cup of cranberry sauce. Come on. The husband got the new chicken BLT burger and made it a combo, which is supposed to come with a side and drink for $2 more. At the register, they charged him the combo price, but then charged us for two single drinks, as if we had three. When I saw that on the receipt, it just wasn't worth my getting back in line for the $1.98 so I told him to refill his cup before we left. (I realize that many people do this anyway, but it was the only thing I could rationalize) $22 for a market bowl and a chicken "burger" and two drinks is quite steep in my opinion. Especially when two could eat for the same amount at Sweet Tomatoes and have a lot more variety.

Uhhh... First of all, for full disclosure, I am a vegetarian. I don't know that I'm really qualified to review a place that is known for their meaty items but I'm going to anyway. Back when I was an omnivore and lived in New York, we ate at Boston Market pretty often because there was one within walking distance of the dump I lived in with my ex boyfriend so it was really just more out of convenience, but I did really enjoy the food too. Chicken was the last meat item I gave up. Out of nowhere a few weeks ago, mi esposo wanted to go there for lunch. Uh okay. So we went to the one in River Forest. Most recently, we ate at this one in Melrose Park. It was Mother's Day which is just another day for us since his mother lives on the west coast and mine on the east. It was pretty crowded with people taking food to go. I guess Mom's love their Boston Market. So what I order from there (and I hate myself afterwards) is the "side sampler" which is three side items and a piece of cornbread so I carb load. Macaroni and cheese, sweet potato casserole, and cinnamon apples. The macaroni and cheese is good, but everything else is just kind of "meh." Not really "bad" but not delicious either. Husband ordered meat loaf. Barf. BUT what was nastiest about this place was the clientele with which we dined. A couple tables over was a family of six or so who were having their big Mother's Day meal right there. This teenaged doofus first dropped his full cup of carbonated beverage which exploded all over the floor and seemed to drop everything else he touched. I felt so bad for the poor employee who had to come mop up his mess. One would've thought he was a toddler or something, but oh no. Everybody was so loud and dirty that I couldn't wait to finish our food and get the hell out of there. I finished my mac and cheese and apples and that was it. Didn't touch the cornbread, the husband ate that. If we ever go again in the near future, it will be to the one at Lake/Harlem. They were giving out coupons attached to the receipt for a BOGO entree if you go the following week which could be useful for some.

Today was my best experience ever at a Boston Market. Stopped by for a late dinner with my daughter. We both got chicken meals with two sides. Because the macaroni and cheese ran out, they gave is free drinks and a free dessert. They carried our food to table and delivered a large Mac and cheese to table (we ordered regular) and apologized for the delay. These folks that run this establishment stand out for wanting their customers to have a pleasant experience.

I've been here a few times for lunch and the employees were fast & nice. Their chicken is delish. Dark meat ftw :D The sweet potato casserole is definitely dessert-style. I like it that way though. Loaded mashed potatoes are good too. Mac & cheese is average, but cheesy. My favorite Boston Market location would be Schaumburg's off of Golf Rd, but this location does a great job too. They also offered me a coupon book for a donation to a children's charity, yay! :)

So let me just make this review fast. Pros: -Good Tasting Food -Generous Servings -Fast Service -Affordable Cons -Food was severed lukewarm. -Bathroom was small and pretty gross. Summary: As a first-timer, I can start out by saying that I will be returning. I think the price is great for essentially fast food. For 3 people the price was just under 30 dollars. I got the 1/4 rotisserie chicken and the 1/4 BBQ ribs. I got the choice of 2 sides which were both excellent. The other 2 members of my party got the 1/2 Chicken and the Chicken Pot Pie. If you are going to get the Pot Pie (Don't quote me on this!) It will be a 25 minute wait. I am unsure if this was a one time thing or not. So I would order ahead and then you can come in and pick it up or you can eat there. I think this place deserves the 4 star review. Happy eating!

Serves sucks..so I go in with someone he goes to the washroom and I'm waiting in at the cash register while Maria waits on two ladies who was in the store before me. Then she brings them over to the cash register and they pay for there lunch separate she walks there food to there table. Then the person I came with came from the bathroom walk over to the food now I'm still standing in front of the cash register. Then I say can I get a fountain drink then she going to say they were here before you and sorry but he is with me then she say the line is over here I said I don't see any signs saying the line start anywhere ..only sign was seen was the sign for online order and I was standing under it and didn't notice..I could have been there to pick up an order and she just walked passed me and ignored me

Boston Market has been a perennial favorite amongst my family, so much so that we even had them cater my 17th birthday party. It's been 7 years since, but not much about the homestyle restaurant chain has changed. Their drinks are a massive 32oz (hooray America!), and for those herbivores out there, they have a side item sampler, so you can get any of your 3 favorites (there's a bunch to pick from). Mac'n'cheese, cinnamon apples, sweet potato casserole, creamed spinach, baked beans, all are good choices that you can't go wrong with. The service is pleasant enough, but it's a funky system--they ask where you want to sit and bring your plate out to you, as well as clearing it when you're done, because there's no garbage cans to do it yourself. Alrighty then.... Dining room was clean and the selection of soft drinks was widely-varied; they included a (sweet) tea dispenser and juice machine, which is an excellent option for those not wanting another oversweetened Cola product. The fifth star comes from the sauces that can be added to your chicken/turkey entree. There was a zesty sweet-Asian something or other, as well as a honey BBQ sauce, but what I had was the honey habenero, and I was very pleased with it. Would definitely return.

So I had a week of training at Triton which is very close... We as a group stopped in t try the new bowls... Service was EXCELLENT.. we were greeted and served and even asked after we sat and ate how things were.. very shocked at that since its not the norm at a fast food place I got the green beans, dressing and turkey... very good and fresh. I also sprung for the cranberry on the side, but shoulda got the cornbread cause the cranberry was packed and average at best. if in the area again I would stop in

DEVASTATED! Went to pickup Boston Market for lunch a few weeks ago only to find that it was GONE! Another one bites the dust. Why, BM? Why??

So I had a week of training at Triton which is very close... We as a group stopped in t try the new bowls... Service was EXCELLENT.. we were greeted and served and even asked after we sat and ate how things were.. very shocked at that since its not the norm at a fast food place I got the green beans, dressing and turkey... very good and fresh. I also sprung for the cranberry on the side, but shoulda got the cornbread cause the cranberry was packed and average at best. if in the area again I would stop in
